Script Update

I don't think I mentioned I'm writing a hockey script. I'm now rewriting it
and I'm excited. I think I actually improved it with a rewrite!

That's revolutionary for me because usually rewriting feels like I'm scratching a broken record, watching the same scenes and words go around and around.

I changed the third act and now it's actually funny. That's a perk since it's a comedy.

I also changed the lead character because I didn't like him. That was an epiphany as well: if you don't like the lead character, then maybe other people (readers, people who can give you money to produce the script) won't either. Now I could actually hang out with him if he was real.

My favorite character is a Russian born player that has grown up in the U.S. and he's just a powerhouse defenseman. He's supposed to be the antagonist and he was just a big puppy in the early drafts. He's in love with the hockey sister but can't act on it because he's been her little brother's teammate his whole life. You don't date the hockey sister (which, as a hockey sister, I can report sucks and can be frustrating).

But I'm happy it's going in the right direction.
